Matt has been playing pipes for approximately 30 years, having played in bands at the Grade 5, Grade 4 and Grade 3 levels under the instruction of Joe McGonigal and Jim Stack. He's had the pleasure of competing at the North American Championships in Maxville, Ontario, Canada.

He has also has instructed local bands; ROMSPD, Saint Ann's of Hampton, Columcille School of Piping and Drumming, and the Police Pipes and Drums of Morris County.

Matt is currently the director of ROMSPD and the Pipe Sergeant of the Grade 4 ROMSPD. He is a Grade 3 soloist with aspirations to make it to Grade 2 under the instruction Jim Stack.
